Single Registrant - UBO Example E-Market

Welcome to eMarket! This webpage is designed to show some of eMarket's capabilities. While this isn't everything that eMarket can do, hopefully this will give you an idea of whether or not eMarket is right for you.

For our example, the registrant can choose whether they are attending the event for 1 day or 2 days, and they can also choose to attend in-person or remotely. All of the fields in this example can be modified to suit the needs of the eMarket event you are creating; the type of information that we collect will depend on your specific event. You should list each field that you would like to use on the eMarket Request Form.

eMarket can permit one payment per registrant, or one payment for multiple registrants -- for example, if one business or school has several people attending, a designated payer can register each attendee, but make one lump-sum payment for each individual they have registered. Our example shows a basic, single payer registration for an event or conference.

Most eMarkets require payment in full using a credit card. You can offer discount codes, discounts for early payments, or the option to make a deposit and pay the remaining balance at a later time. Please note that there is a $3 fee per transaction that is passed onto the department, so please keep that in mind when determining the cost of your event.

The fields listed below will be collected by the system; you can run reports to gather this information at any time. You may choose to collect more information or less information depending on the needs of your eMarket. If you would like to restrict allowable responses, we can do so with a drop-down list or radio button response.

If you look at the fields below, you'll notice that the first two fields have an asterisk next to them -- the asterisk indicates a response is required. Most eMarkets have more required fields than shown below, but for the purpose of this example (and continuing to the next page) we are only requiring First Name and Last Name. You can specify if a response should be required on the eMarket Request Form. 

The field below is known as a "Conditional" field. This means that the registrant's response will prompt the next set of registration questions. This can be particularly useful if your conference has in-person and virtual attendance. If you choose In-Person then an In-Person Attendance section will appear below. If you select Virtual, a Virtual Attendance section will appear. Try for yourself!

This section is only triggered after the registrant has selected the In-Person Attendance Option. Here, we can collect unique information for someone attending your event in-person (assuming that data isn't relevant to someone attending virtually). Some examples would be meal plan information, dietary restrictions, or housing information.

This section is only triggered after the registrant has selected the Virtual Attendance Option. Since the registrant is attending virtually, there is less information required. You may choose to ask a different set of questions or provide unique information that in-person registrants don't need to know, such as the timing of the virtual sessions.
